What the French players earn
At the Globals, the best-placed French players, Nociff and Izzi (Team Orchid), finished 16th: $28,000 for the duo. At the Esports World Cup in Paris, Momsy and SkyJump (2nd in the Fortnite Reload Elite Series) won $150,000 for the duo.
Across a whole career, the biggest French total is still Skite's, at nearly $870,000 (Esports Earnings). We detailed the profiles in our article on the best French Fortnite players.

These figures, rounded to the dollar, come from an esports.gg ranking (2025); they move with every tournament. As of June 23, 2026, Wikipedia counts 21 players above $1 million and 59 above $500,000.
The most telling number: Fortnite has paid out more than $202 million to players since the start, but it's concentrated in very few names, and a large share came from the 2019 Fortnite World Cup.
And what about a pro player's salary?
We can't give an honest figure: team contracts aren't public, and no reliable source publishes an average salary for a pro Fortnite player. Sites showing a "monthly salary" are estimating, not measuring.
What Fortnite Tracker says: tournament prizes are a major income source, and streaming and YouTube often add to competitive players' income. Part of a pro's income therefore comes from content, not only from results.
How the prize is paid out
The FNCS 2026 rules set out precise payment steps:
- Notification: Epic emails winners within 60 days of the session's end.
- Response: winners then have 45 days to send back verification documents and the prize acceptance form.
- Taxes: winners provide the requested tax information and remain responsible for their own taxes. Epic may withhold tax at source.
- Team: if one duo member fails verification, the whole team loses its prize.
- Minors: payment goes to a parent or guardian.
