France's best Fortnite players in 2026: the top
Our criteria: 2026 world LAN results first, then earnings. A podium at the Esports World Cup counts for more than qualifying for Globals. This is an editorial ranking, not an official one.
| # | Player | Team | Why he's here |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Momsy | Lyost Esport | 2nd at the Esports World Cup, 23rd at the Summit, qualified for Globals |
| 2 | SkyJump | Teamless | 2nd at the Esports World Cup, 23rd at the Summit |
| 3 | Nociff | Team Orchid | 16th at Globals, 16th at the Esports World Cup |
| 4 | Izzi | Team Orchid | 16th at Globals |
| 5 | Kurama | Gentle Mates | 21st at the Summit, Second Chance Qualifier winner |
| 6 | Akiira | Gentle Mates | 21st at the Summit with Kurama |
| 7 | Seyyto | Team Orchid | Qualified for Globals with Momsy |
Spots 8 to 10 will be decided partly at the Coupe de France Fortnite final (France's national Fortnite cup), on Wednesday, October 28: we'll update this ranking with its results.
Momsy: the best French player of 2026
2nd at the Esports World Cup, in front of all of Paris
Walid "Momsy" Ben Maamar pulled off the biggest French result of the year. At the Esports World Cup in Paris (August 19 to 22, 2026), with SkyJump, he finished 2nd in the Fortnite Reload Elite Series, behind BIG (vic0 and Malibuca). The duo won $150,000.
The organizers billed them as the crowd favorites. They lived up to it all the way.
The only French player at all three LANs
Momsy also played the Düsseldorf Summit (23rd with SkyJump) and Globals in Antwerp (48th with Seyyto). As far as we know, he's the only French player at all three major LANs of the season.
His settings (1600 DPI, 4% sens, wall on Mouse 4) are broken down in our article on Fortnite pro settings.
SkyJump: 18 and already on a world podium
Mathéo "SkyJump" L. shared the Esports World Cup podium with Momsy, at 18. A former Solary player, he has been teamless since July 2026.
He's one of the French players to keep a close eye on: few players his age already have a world LAN podium.
Nociff and Izzi: the best French players at Globals
At the FNCS Global Championship in Antwerp (September 26-27, 2026), Fortnite's world championship, no French player made the top 10. The highest-placed were Nociff and Izzi, from Team Orchid: 16th with 314 points, and $28,000 for the duo.
- Nociff, 19, also finished 16th at the Esports World Cup.
- Izzi is 16 or 17 depending on the source.
The world title went to SwizzY and Pixie. We covered that tight final in our ranking of the best Fortnite players of 2026.
Kurama and Akiira: the Gentle Mates duo
Stéphane "Kurama" Poret joined Gentle Mates on March 30, 2026, after Solary. With Kenzo "Akiira" Leroux, 18, he won the Summit's Second Chance Qualifier, then finished 21st in Düsseldorf.
What sets the duo apart: Akiira plays on controller, a PS5 DualSense. The duo did miss out on qualifying for Globals, though.
Which French player has earned the most money in Fortnite?
Over a whole career, it's Clément "Skite" Danglot, with nearly $870,000 in tournament earnings according to Esports Earnings. He stopped competing in January 2022.
| # | Player | Career earnings |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Skite | $869,692 |
| 2 | Nathan Berquignol | $560,201 |
| 3 | Alexandre Christophe | $480,162 |
The biggest French earnings mostly come from the 2019 Fortnite World Cup era, when prize pools were much higher than today. Nikof, now at Gentle Mates, is over $187,000.
For 2026 alone, according to known results, the biggest win by a French player is Momsy and SkyJump's at the Esports World Cup: $150,000 for the duo.
