Want to know who really ran Fortnite in 2026? Not by gut feeling, by the official results?
We went through every major tournament of the season, game by game. Here is our top 10, what each duo earned, and what you can take from it for your own game.
The top 10 Fortnite players of 2026
How we built this ranking
FNCS was played in duos in 2026, so we rank duos, not solo players.
Our rule is simple: a LAN title beats an online win, and a world podium beats a regional Major.
| # | Duo | Region | Why they're here |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | SwizzY & Pixie | Europe | 2026 FNCS world champions |
| 2 | vic0 & Malibuca | Europe | Won the Major 1 Summit and the Esports World Cup, 3rd at Globals |
| 3 | shxrk & t3eny | Europe | 2nd at Globals, 3rd at the Summit and the Esports World Cup |
| 4 | Sky & Scroll | Europe | Won both European Majors, 4th at the Summit, 5th at Globals |
| 5 | Clix & Rapid | NA Central | 4th at Globals |
| 6 | Peterbot & Pollo | NA Central | 2nd at the Major 1 Summit, 2024 world champions |
| 7 | Momsy & SkyJump | Europe | 2nd at the Esports World Cup, best French duo of the year |
| 8 | Acorn & Boltz | NA Central | Won Major 2 in NA Central, 5th at the Summit |
| 9 | Yuma & Koyota | Asia | Won both Asian Majors, 2 game wins at Globals |
| 10 | Cr1nge & Twi | Europe | 6th at Globals |
Who is the best Fortnite player in the world in 2026?
Egor "SwizzY" Luciko, the Russian player of HavoK by Vitality.
He won Globals 2025 in trios with Queasy and Merstach. Then Globals 2026 in duos with Sweden's Pixie. He is the only player in history with two FNCS world titles.
Why vic0 and Malibuca aren't number 1
They won two of the three LANs and more money than anyone. But the title that matters most is the Global Championship. There, they finished 3rd, 4 points short.
Here's how they let it slip.
FNCS Global Championship 2026: 2 points worth $160,000
The Global Championship ("Globals") is Fortnite's world championship, run by Epic Games.
The 2026 edition was played on September 26 and 27 at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium. 50 duos, 12 games, a $2,000,000 total prize pool.
The final standings
| Place | Duo | Points | Wins | Duo prize |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | SwizzY & Pixie | 525 | 1 | $400,000 |
| 2 | shxrk & t3eny | 523 | 1 | $240,000 |
| 3 | vic0 & Malibuca | 521 | 1 | $160,000 |
| 4 | Clix & Rapid | 443 | 1 | $120,000 |
| 5 | Sky & Scroll | 425 | 1 | $100,000 |
What this final teaches you
- Four points separated the top three. The two points between 1st and 2nd were worth $160,000.
- Each of the top five won exactly one game. The only duo with two wins, Higgs and Curve, finished 10th.
- vic0 and Malibuca led from game 6 to game 11, 78 points clear after game 10. Then zero points in the last two games.
The lesson: at Globals, consistency pays more than Victory Royales.
shxrk and t3eny, the eternal runners-up
Three LANs in 2026, three podiums, zero titles. 3rd at the Summit, 3rd at the Esports World Cup, 2nd at Globals. And at Globals, they had the most eliminations in the top 5 (45).
All they were missing was 2 points. And a few seconds.
Why Epic put a shark in a tunnel
Yes, a shark.
Last game. t3eny goes down early, shxrk tries to win it alone. He gets stuck in a tunnel with no Medkits and a bad zone. According to esports.gg, he was three seconds away from handing his duo the title.
Epic Games paid tribute in patch v42.40. Head to the tunnel southeast of Lifty Lodge: behind a Fishtick portrait, a chest is waiting for you in a shark pool float.
Was there a Fortnite World Cup in 2026?
No World Cup, but the Esports World Cup
There was no "Fortnite World Cup" in 2026 like the one in 2019.
The closest event was the Fortnite Reload Elite Series at the Esports World Cup. It was played in Paris from August 19 to 22, 2026, with 40 duos.
- 1st: vic0 and Malibuca (BIG), $260,000. vic0 was named MVP: 32 eliminations, 19 knocks and a $25,000 bonus.
- 2nd: Momsy and SkyJump, from France.
- 3rd: shxrk and t3eny (Aurora Gaming).
With that title, BIG became the first team in Fortnite history to win two major LANs back to back.
The Major 1 Summit, won without a single Victory Royale
The first of those two LANs was the Major 1 Summit in Düsseldorf, May 29 to 31. 75 duos, a $1,300,000 prize pool.
vic0 and Malibuca won it with 406 points and $250,000… without winning a single game. Peterbot and Pollo, 2nd, had won two.
FNCS 2026 regional Majors
Winners region by region
Online, every region played two duo Majors.
| Region | Major 1 (April 25-26) | Major 2 (August 1-2) |
|---|---|---|
| Europe | Sky & Scroll | Sky & Scroll |
| NA Central | Curve & Veno | Acorn & Boltz |
| NA West | Khanada & VicterV | EpikWhale & PXMP |
| Brazil | 916Gon & Night | Mack & Diguera |
| Asia | Yuma & Koyota | Yuma & Koyota |
| Middle East | FKS & Hero | Howly & 1Lusha |
| Oceania | Alex & Wreckless | Resignz & Tinka |
Sky and Scroll, kings of online Europe
The Danish duo won both European Majors, taking $200,000 each time. Only Yuma and Koyota did the same, in Asia.
Their limit: LANs. 4th at the Summit, 5th at Globals. Very strong, just not at the right moment yet.
Which Fortnite player has earned the most money?
Over a whole career: Bugha
Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf has earned more than $3,700,000 in tournaments (Wikipedia, June 2026).
Most of it came from a single weekend: his solo win at the 2019 Fortnite World Cup, worth $3,000,000. That World Cup had a $30,000,000 prize pool. Aqua and Nyhrox also won $3,000,000 in duos there.
The result: the top of the list has barely moved since. As of June 2026, 21 players had passed $1,000,000 in Fortnite earnings.
For 2026 alone: vic0 and Malibuca
We added up the prize money from the season's biggest events:
| Duo | Events | Duo earnings in 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| vic0 & Malibuca | Summit (1st), Esports World Cup (1st), Globals (3rd) | $670,000 |
| Sky & Scroll | Europe Majors 1 and 2 (1st), Summit (4th), Globals (5th) | $570,000 |
| SwizzY & Pixie | Globals (1st) | $400,000 |
| shxrk & t3eny | Globals (2nd), Summit (3rd) | $340,000 |
Only the results cited in this article are counted, without vic0's $25,000 MVP bonus.
Why Peterbot isn't at the top
Peterbot is one of the strongest players of recent years: 2024 world champion with Pollo, 2nd at the 2026 Summit.
But he didn't play the 2019 World Cup. And no tournament today pays anywhere near as much. So he can't catch the players who were there.
The best French Fortnite players in 2026
Momsy and SkyJump, the Paris surprise
2nd at the Esports World Cup in Paris. Right behind vic0 and Malibuca, and ahead of shxrk and t3eny, who went on to be world runners-up.
Until then they mostly played online. Momsy's biggest prize had been a $7,000 PlayStation Cup Europe win in December 2024.
France, a big Fortnite nation
23 French-speaking players qualified for the 2019 World Cup, according to Dexerto. The scene keeps producing talent every season, and Momsy and SkyJump are the proof.
How do you get as good as the Fortnite pros?
The 2026 results show four things the best players have in common.
1. Place high every game
Each top-5 duo at Globals won only one game. A 6th place with eliminations beats a failed push in the endgame.
2. Keep the same duo
vic0 and Malibuca made three LAN podiums in one season, together from start to finish. Chemistry doesn't build when you change partners every week.
3. Win your close-range fights
Box fights, piece control, edits: endgames are won up close. If you lose your 1v1s in build, you'll lose your endgames. That's why our Realistic and Box Fight maps, built with Vortex Studio, recreate endgame situations. Our box fight tips cover the basics.
4. Play with something on the line
A creative game with no consequence doesn't prepare you for a final. Pros train in scrims and tournaments, where every mistake costs.
