When Does the Fortnite Season End? Override End Date and the Treasure Hunters Mini-Season

Fortnite's current season, Override (Chapter 7, Season 4), ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Epic Games says so on the official Battle Pass page. The same day, the pirate mini-season Treasure Hunters starts with update v43.00, bringing the One Piece collab with it.

When does the Fortnite season end?

The Override season ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Epic gives that date in US Eastern Time: depending on where you live, your last full day of Override is Saturday, October 31, and the switch happens overnight or on the morning of November 1.

The exact downtime hasn't been published yet. During the last season changes, servers were down for 4 to 5 hours. Keep the morning of November 1 free if you want to be among the first on the new map.

Is there an end-of-season live event?

Not for now. Epic hasn't published an in-game countdown or announced a live event for the end of Override. Earlier Chapter 7 season finales had one ("Final Wave" in March, "Shattered" in June), so an event is still possible, but nothing is official.

A pirate chest already opened in-game on October 24 to show the One Piece teaser: that's the only confirmed "mini-event" so far.

What to finish before the season ends

Once the season is over, some rewards are gone. Before Saturday, October 31:

• The Override Battle Pass: Sonic headlines it, with Tails as a Sidekick. XP comes from every Fortnite experience, Creative islands included.

• Your V-Bucks: they stay on your account from one season to the next, no rush there.

Treasure Hunters: the mini-season coming on November 1

The next step isn't Chapter 8 but a mini-season: Treasure Hunters, "The Greatest Adventure of All Time". Epic revealed it on October 24 with a teaser dated "11.1", meaning November 1.

What we know:

• Pirate theme: treasure hunting, a treasure map, and a Battle Bus turned into a ship;
• Six crews announced: One Piece, Jones and Hope, A$AP Rocky, Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto, Lil Uzi Vert, and one still secret;
• One Piece: the collab was confirmed on October 24 with a Going Merry teaser. Full details in our Fortnite x One Piece article.

The new Battle Pass contents and price aren't published yet. Epic announced a full reveal for Sunday, October 25 at 12 PM PT: we'll update this article as soon as it's out.

When does Chapter 8 come out?

Epic hasn't announced a Chapter 8 date. Since Treasure Hunters is a mini-season, it should last about a month. Dataminers point to late November or early December 2026, but no date is confirmed.
