Fortnite Treasure Hunters: Release Time, New Crossbones Isle Map and Everything New

Epic Games released the Fortnite Treasure Hunters gameplay trailer on October 30, 2026. This pirate mini-season, made with One Piece, replaces the Override season on November 1 and changes everything: the map, how you land on the island, the items and how you find loot. Here's the release time and everything that changes in-game.

What time does Fortnite Treasure Hunters release?

The update is 43.00, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, Switch 2, PC and mobile. The return time is never guaranteed: follow the official Fortnite Status account for the go-live signal. According to reports at the announcement, the mini-season runs until December 5, 2026.

Crossbones Isle: Fortnite's new map

The headline change is the island. Crossbones Isle is shaped like a pirate skull and built for 80 players, so matches are tighter, with more fights early on. It features locations straight out of One Piece:

• Windmill Village, Luffy's home village;
• Arlong Park;
• the Baratie, the floating restaurant;
• the Marigold.

East of the island, The $.$. Rocky, a battleship held by boss A$AP Rocky, hides a vault. Beating him drops the Shock Rocket and the vault key. To move fast between islets, pirate cannons launch you across the map.

And at the start of every match, you no longer drop from the Battle Bus but from the deck of the Going Merry, Luffy's ship.

How does the treasure hunt work?

It's the heart of the mini-season:

• Buried treasure chests to dig up all over the island;
• New Sprites to catch, themed after the captains;
• A locked Mega Chest, tied to the mysterious Captain X.

Every week in November, a captain takes over strongholds on the map (Captain's Days): Lil Uzi Vert, Cap'n Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto.

New weapons and powers

• The Gum-Gum Fruit (Luffy) and the Flame-Flame Fruit (Ace), two Devil Fruits;
• Zoro's Three Sword Style;
• Usopp's slingshot;
• The Bundlebuss and the Dragoon return, from Save the World.
